The Weill Cornell Medicine Comprehensive Thalassemia Center held a patient/physician forum to keep the thalassemia community up-to-date regarding:
- Comprehensive Thalassemia Center infrastructure, initiatives and future plans
- Current Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grant projects
- Current thalassemia treatment guidelines
- Current and future research protocols
There was also an opportunity for questions and answers from the audience after presentations were made.
